Representing thousands of individual investors as well as more than 20 state and municipal pension funds across the U.S., Peter possesses both the expertise and experience to recoup investment losses and obtain justice for clients. Peter is also certified by FINRA – the largest independent securities regulator in the U.S. – as an arbitrator for cases going before the Securities & Exchange Commission.
Besides his activities in the courtroom on behalf of securities fraud victims, Peter is also a strong advocate for investors as former President of the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA), a nationwide securities bar association. He's also served as Chairman of that organization's NASAA Committee and Improving Arbitration Task Force.
Peter also spreads his knowledge of securities fraud through several venues – everything from continuing education to being quoted in national publications like the L.A. Times, Barons, Kiplinger, Business Week, Forbes, the Wall Street Journal and Investment News. He frequently offers insights on various securities fraud issues like the Dodd- Frank Wall Street Reform Act, Structured Finance, Broker-Dealer Regulation, Discovery in Securities Arbitration and Quantitative Modeling to Demonstrate the Viability of Asset Allocation Proposals and other issues confronting investors.
Peter also helps mentor other aspiring securities arbitrators through his membership on FINRA's Arbitrator Training Task Force.
A graduate from Samford University's Cumberland School of Law, Peter received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Finance from Creighton University. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Portland.
In addition to his wealth of legal activities and experience, Peter is also actively involved in his local community of Pensacola, Florida. In 2003, he was selected to participate in Leadership Pensacola and has also served as President of the Association of Retarded Citizens. In 2006, he was awarded that organization's Volunteer of the Year award.
